Sometimes unfortunate things happen to our computers. One of these things just happens to be viruses. The typical virus is spyware or scareware. These things send off data about you, change your settings to make your computer act funny, and keep telling you that you have a virus and need to buy their product to get rid of it. Some of them are embedded pretty good. Fortunately we know how to deal with those types of things. We can even check it out if you suspect you have a virus. Our best recommendation is getting a good virus protection program. Lots of people who don't know what's slowing their computer down, are either using a standard virus program shipped with their pc, or have none at all. We've seen it before, it's the black screen. Other indications that your hard drive needs help is failure to boot. If we can get power to it, even if it wont boot, we can get the data off of it. Many times we can save the OS. If we cant get the data off of it, we know the people who can, and we'll make the connections so you can keep your stress level to a minimum.
