It's our intent to deliver a range of quality computer services to small businesses, and the community, in a enjoyable and cost effective manner. We strive to make your computers, and knowledge of computers, fun, rewarding, and reliable.
Background
thegriffgroup was started by Steven A Griffith in early 2009. The original goal was to gain some experience in freelancing while pursuing education at Parkland College, in Champaign IL.
It didn't take long to find the services offered were needed. The common problem was, not enough money. Taking on projects for businesses, as well as normal users, we made our way from "shaky college students" to computer professionals in a way that was progressively rewarding and challenging.
It was a steady climb, but we had our rough times. Small businesses were great about letting us provide services for a budget price, knowing we were students.Before long we had a small community of clients, as word got around. Friends, family, and general community came to us for all the various computer needs, from getting updates and system maintenance, to virus removal , custom software, and software installation.
It's these business and community members that we stand behind now. We want your computer experiences to be rewarding and stress free.
